How to log workouts offline and sync safely

Poor gym reception does not have to interrupt your workout log. Arise saves workout entries on your device, then syncs when your connection returns. Local recording and verified cloud sync are two different stages.

Before you head somewhere with poor reception

  1. While connected, sign in to the account you use for training and make sure your active plan is available on the device.
  2. Open Profile → Account & Sync. Let pending uploads and any reported issues finish before relying on a second device.
  3. If you are starting a Rank Trial or Weekly Dungeon, get its issued workout while online. New challenge preparation and issuance need a connection, even though an issued session can be logged offline.

Sign-in, purchases, new online plan services and server verification are not offline features. Arise is an offline-capable workout logger, not an entirely offline app.

Record what you actually did

For strength exercises, enter the weight and reps for each set, then mark the set complete. Previous performance, notes and the rest timer help you keep track between sets.

For ordinary time-and-distance exercises such as walking, enter time, distance or both. At least one must be a valid positive value before the set is complete. You do not need to invent a distance because you only timed your walk.

Stair Climber (StairMaster) records duration. Put machine level or floors in the notes if you want to remember them; Arise does not convert floors into distance. Pace or speed only makes sense when both time and distance were recorded.

Exercise duration is the time you enter for that activity, not simply how long the workout session has been open. A challenge may have stricter requirements, so follow the prescription shown for that issued attempt.

Reconnect and check the result

  1. Finish or save your session using the workout controls. Your locally recorded work remains on this installation while cloud sync is pending.
  2. When you are back online, open Profile → Account & Sync. Use Sync now, or Retry now if the screen reports a problem.
  3. Check the overall status, not just Uploads waiting. Zero queued uploads alone does not mean every restored record or verification step has succeeded.
  4. Wait for verified sync before changing devices or reinstalling. Use the same account on the other device and let its cloud restore finish before comparing history.

If something still needs attention

Do not clear app storage or reinstall to try to fix an unsynced workout. That can remove the only local copy of changes that have not reached the cloud.

Resolve any plan-edit conflict the app asks you to review. A workout can remain saved in history while objective or challenge verification is pending; pending does not mean a reward has already been confirmed.

If a retry does not help, use Contact Support from Account & Sync. Share the Diagnostic line and your app version with support, but never your password. Keep the affected installation until the issue is resolved.
