Open your plan, then choose what to change
- Open your active plan through its Manage action. You can also use Manage Plan on the current-plan card on Home.
- Scroll to Plan Tools and tap Edit Plan. If Arise shows Resolve Plan Edits instead, resolve the competing versions before making another change.
- Choose an unstarted session in Workout occurrence. You can change the plan name or workout name, then edit the exercises and their targets.
- Tap Review Changes, check which workouts will be affected, then confirm with Save Changes.
This guide covers the editor for active, finite generated plans. Completed plans, protected workouts and custom-plan tools can show different controls.
One workout or future repeats?
Choose This workout only for a one-off change. For example, if the bench you normally use is occupied, you may want a different exercise for this session without changing the rest of your plan.
Choose This and future repeats when you want the same workout to change going forward. Repeats follow that workout’s identity, so the choice still works when your plan rotates across different weekdays.
A session you have already customised as a one-off stays separate from later repeat edits. Use Reset this override to the repeating workout if you want it to follow the template again.
Adjust the workout to fit your setup
- Add, remove, replace or reorder exercises. Each workout needs at least one exercise.
- Change sets and the targets the movement uses: reps, weight, duration or distance, plus rest periods and notes.
- Group selected exercises into a superset or edit an existing arrangement.
- Choose Training date to move an eligible future session. Rescheduling keeps the plan’s duration and total required workouts unchanged.
For ordinary exercises that accept both time and distance, a positive target in either field is enough. If you add the same movement twice, the two entries are separate exercise slots, not one shared completion.
What an edit does not change
Completed workout history and previously earned progress are not rewritten. A workout already in progress keeps the prescription it started with; its session-editing controls work separately from the plan editor.
You cannot move a completed, active or already-due session to erase a missed date. Issued Rank Trials and Weekly Dungeons also keep their own requirements.
Saving an edit is not completing a workout. The revised ordinary workout can still count toward your plan and objectives when you do the required work and its result is verified.
Saving without a connection
Plan edits save locally when you are offline and sync after you reconnect. An interrupted draft can be recovered, but review it against the current plan if another device has made changes.
If two devices edit the same plan, Arise keeps both versions for review rather than silently picking a winner. Keep the app installed, resolve the prompt and check Profile → Account & Sync before moving to another device.
